i'm not...

my grandfather was so fucked up by what had happened to him and his friends/family in poland that he has never mentioned anything to us about being jewish...

we found out a few years ago when the red cross contacted us to say they'd found some of his relatives who had been searching for him...

but it took them 2 years to sort all the paper work out (making sure he was the right person an stuff) and when it all got sorted his brother who had been trying to contact him had died

he won't even talk about it now... which was a bit weird when his/my family come over (my 2nd cousins and their children)

on a lighter note my 2nd cousins daughter (i think that right anyway) is well fit

No-one in our family has made contact with out polish relatives, although when I was about 11 I was shown photographs of muredered relatives, which wasn't pleasant.
