    OMG i was on the fone to my m8 in York the other day an she cudnt believe i haddnt heard of "Mischeif Night". she reckons that tradiotionally in yorkshire, the kids cause aggro the day before bonfire night, throwing eggs at windows, knocky nine doors, setting the bonfires alight early etc. Any1 from yorkshire here back up this lass?

    Eh? All Hallow's Eve was a vigil to see in All Hallow's day the next day, ie. All saints day which is a big feast in the Christian calendar. It is only later down the it has been corrupted with evil spirit and yank pish.

    I know it hasn't, hence the wink. But traditionally it is a celebration of protestant victory over papist plotters.
