Your First Record? Stemming from the 'Be As One' thread, this is aimed more at DJs, but at at the record collectors too. I mean your first DJing record too, so please don't include copies of Milli Vanilli/Vanilla Ice you bought as a nipper. My first record was Old School Orchestra - B-Boy Hump. A 10" cheesy house track that samples the riff from 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You', I think on Warner Records. Got it from RPM in '98/'99.
Monsta Boy feat Denzie - I'm Sorry (Locked) old classic UK Vocal garage track from when i used to play uk garage, awesome vocals bought from Pink Panther records in Carlisle
the first 2 records i ever baught were; Tukan - Light a Rainbow System - Out of the Blue This was only 2 year ago mind!
first started buying hardcore at a very young age pretty sure my 1st ever 12" was 'neurotek - crowd control' my first dance record was pvd - for an angel as i put in the other thread, not a bad start i dont think like!!! ........that also reminds me, slash lent it a while ago and i havent seen it since
New Decade - "get the message" - it was Pete tong's essential record of the week back in '91.... loved it! on out of romford records... also got 'Cubic 22' and an altern8 ltd ed. silver vinyl around the same time... but i think the New Decade track was the first 'dance vinyl' 12" oooo maybe 'everybody in the place'... nar... that was later... ahhhh piano!
neva bought a proper dance music record. can remember a poxy album on record bought in the early 80's with the spitting image chart tune on. dont know the name or artist tho.
