your definition of 'old skool' ?

heres a quick question of what do you define 'old skool' as...

this being because most people havent a f**king clue...and it pisses me off when you go get booked to play a set, turn up and there just playing the 'wrong music'

also list a few you class as 'old skool' so we may be able to rip the piss out of you:lol:

chime! what a fuckin track that is!

on a cheezier note, rhythm is a mystery just flooded my head with lots of good memorys! :D

old school for me is grandmaster flash, kool herc, jazzy jay etc...

yup, old school always needs defining, everyone had their own version of it, depending on what you were in to and how old you are.

if it was dance definitly anything up to 92. pre 88 was pretty lame if i recall, even though it was the foundations of what we have now.

i always laff my tits off when i see 'old school trance' being billed and its stuff like system f - out of the blue' ... hardly fuckin old school trance like, there was alot of tracks much earlier than that :D
