You tell me what you think this board is for

well? What are these boards for?

I get the feeling everyone on THIS board gets on really well, well the most of you from what I can gather.

If you were to compare this board to say Crashers' It's alot harsher, to the point, there's definately no biting tongues on there.

There's alot of bad feeling shall we say on the crasher board, lots of fighting groups, and that's not just on the board, its in the club and just general as alot of people see each other outside of the club too. It can be very segregrated even tho a board is suppose to bring people together. But with some people there's alot of history, alot of baggage and its not that easy, There's always something kicking off for someone to get pissed off with someone and it starts something new off.

Personally I see that board as a place to fuel gossip, bitch, throw personal digs at, it's not about any old dig, it's personal digs, the very things that make you tick! It's about washing other peoples dirty linen in public for them, It's all about giving as good as you get.

What do you think this board is for?

I gathered that from how you made your appearance on here but we generally use this board as a way of talking to the people we've met in Promise, look at photo's, discuss upcoming DJs and one's that have been, find things out etc.

Oh and to have a laugh

this board is for talking to like minded people, having a laugh and meeting new people.

also about finding more info on clubbing and stuff.

The board like the club as you point out is an extremely closs knit family... reminds me of candy kids in the sense that every1 wants to be your best friend. Unlike the crasherboard every1 is part of 1 big family and if you insult 1 (as u found out) every1 else jumps to his defense.

On the whole the board is very welcoming and warm, The board is just an extension to the promise community... And although some of us do fight we are one big icky happy family.

And that. Last time I was there THE SPENCE caught me going down the stairs and shouted 'You going to the speakers son?'

Personally, I don't think it's about washing other people's dirty linen in public, as people may know each other but not well enough to take that upon themselves when they don't know everyone's full history and can jump to conclusions easily. What right do I have to bitch about someone I don't really know? But that's just my opinion.

I see it as a place to talk about Promise and get views across as to what is good and bad about it (as the promoters do read it), and to 'chat' to mates, and make new ones. Also to learn about music (in the music forum), to let others know anything I might know, and exchange views on that. I also use it for company as I work alone from home and like to have some contact with the outside world before the other half gets home! Loads of things really.

Not really. You have to go to understand what it's like in there mate. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Because the venue itself is not all that big, everyone bumps into eachother time and time again and its always great to see the same smiling load of complete and utter mentallers dancing next to you and giving it this *bashes hands in the air*

In the rather short time I've been goin to Promise, I've realised that there are certain groups, but everyone does get along.
