More like £1500+ for a TB303 these days...

Have a look on ebay for the SH-101, MC-202, or MC-303.
Software clones Rebirth, NI Massive or AudioRealism Bassline (All VSTi) are good too.

The sh-101 is great peice of kit it can make acid lines as well loads of the well know rave stab sounds.

Altern-8 used it on loads of tracks.

Plus you can get the add on bit so it looks like a guitar.

As Ed DMX models here (Coming to a venue in Newcastle this December to play live using loads of the bits of kit mentioned.)

getting rid of a few bits of kit and getting minimal gear and getting stuck into some beats.
