anyone know what i need to get hd fromt he xbox, my plasma has dvi input do i need an adapter or is dvi what a hd cable is?

the premium 360, im 99% sure your core version doesnt have the hdmi port on the back

Neither versions of xbox have HDMI/DVI connectivity- yet- thaey both have an xbox-multi port on the back.

For HD output you need to either get the HD component cable or HD AV cable which has a pc/vga type connection- the switch for HD / normal is on the actual cables.

so what connector do i need on my tv to connect it up.

whats the point in having hd if the connection is anologue?

you either need component in or VGA in on your telly. I dunno why they didn't make it HDMI/DVI to be honest- seems daft- i still get 720p / 1080i signal though

is vga the one you use for a pc monitor? and whats component?

is this what i need, cause i've got an adaptor to turn, vga into dvi so i can plug it into my tv.
