Xbox 360 HD Right ive just got my self a HD telly, Do you have to do anything to get the HD working with the 360? Cant find my Instruction booklet for it
on the 360 dashboard theres some video settings which lets you set the resolution. Check that you have it set to the right one. Anything over 800 x 600 is HD. Obviously the higher the better
Gutted, having to return my 360 again. Fuckers better get it sorted this time or Bill will get it in the ear, nerdy prick.
1024x768 is standard hd, tbh im waiting for the 1900x1600 ones, i'll be waiting a while by the looks of it
Re: Xbox 360 HD Connect an Xbox 360 console to a high-definition TV 1. Turn off the Xbox 360 console. 2. Connect the audio-visual (AV) connector on the Component HD AV Cable to the AV port on the Xbox 360 console. 3. Set the HDTV switch on the AV Connector to HDTV. Note Only set the switch to HDTV if the TV supports high-definition resolution, such as 480p, 720p, or 1080i. 4. Connect the red, green, and blue RCA connectors on the Component HD AV Cable to the corresponding color input jacks on the high-definition TV. Do not use the yellow RCA composite video connector. 5. Connect the red and white RCA audio connectors on the Component HD AV Cable to the corresponding colored input jacks on the HDTV. 6. Turn on the Xbox 360 console. From the System section, you can change your display and HDTV settings. Select the appropriate high-definition video setting for the HDTV.
it is, on the xbox you can chosose between, loads of different resolution, not just 1080i 720p its like a pc setup you just ic the resolution you want.
Is it not?Well thats the highest resolution that the 360 can process properly on a 4:3 tv so I was just going off the 360 instructions as it said the 360 can only output HD signals in widescreen
All of that has nothing to do with which resolutions are HD or not. We've been over this before, I can't be arsed to do it again.
Yeah, the Microsoft site also says that 480p is HD and I think that they are incorrect it that statement. 480p uses the same broadcast method as 720p and 1080i but as far as I understand it is not HD.
not entirely off topic but my mates got a hd tele and he put topgun on it last night and it looked weird as fuck haha, looked like it had been shot with some sort of digital camera, mint pic quality but the movements were strange looking, seemed as if everything was moving a little bit faster
