    Oh My Fucking God!

To think I wasn't even gonna go!

Real House music all night long, like Shindig should be!

First time I've seen XPress 2, have to say I was VERY impressed. They've stuck firmly to their roots, playing with a big air of the underground last night.
That 'Sweet Dreams' remix was pretty good. Emerson plays it too I think.
Have to respect anyone that will drop Grace Jones's 'Pull up To The Bumper' second-to-last in Shindig tho!

De'Lacy's 'Hideaway' and the lads' own 'Smoke Machine' made my night!

Saw them at Cream@the arena and they were the best set all night in the prog bit. Smoke Machine is top tunage and pull up to my bumper baby is a classic, can't believe they played that

I wreckon they should have played that earlier on. I don't think it worked as 2nd last tune of the night.

What was the very last one they played as in the 'one more' one?

    Octave One - Blackwater

I think 'Pull Up To The Bumper' worked as second to last. It did create a bit of an atmoshpere drop, or at least change, and if it'd been dropped earlier, the lads would've had to build and build again. Worked great where it was.

Just thought of a few more tunes that made my night...
    Andrea Doria - Bucci Bag
Donna Summer - I Feel Love
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (what is this remix?! Emerson has it too!)
What a feeling it must've been standing in that DJ box when that tune dropped. The whole club was singing it!

    I had a shit night. :(

Actually it was unbelievably good for the first few hours. Then some personal shit happened that i wont go into on here. Basically totally fucked up my whole night and i had to leave at 130.

But X-press 2 were rockin it. The stuff they were playing around 1100-1230 reminded me of how Promise used to be. Brought me right back to the days of Seaman, Pappa, Warren, Burridge from a couple of years ago.

x-press 2 were mint and Ashley Beedle was dropped Stevie Wonder! Those versions of Donna Summer and Grace Jones are both re-edits by Anthony Daly from Reverb, and he got them played back to back, jammy fucker!

    Were they?!
    Very nice!

I said all night long, before we even got there, that Ashley's the better of the three (IMO). Wanted to get there early as poss to hear some of his 'signature' stuff.

You any info on that rmx of 'Sweet Dreams' Simon?

Smoke Machine has to have one of the most intense baselines ever!
Was it just me or did one of the 3 (in the stripey jumper) seem to do most of the DJing

I know what you mean about there only being one of them doing all the 'work'. Most of the time there were at two of them. what happened to the third?

I knew Xpress2 were a big name but I had no idea it was going to be as busy as that. Maybe that had something to do with why I've been hearing Promise was so dead
