    Wright-Phillips watched by Newcastle United

Newcastle have been linked with a summer swoop for Manchester City's England new-boy Shaun Wright-Phillips.

The 22-year-old, who is likely to make his senior international debut against Sweden in Gothenberg on Wednesday night, has been watched several times by Magpies scouts in recent weeks.

Newcastle have a problem position on the right side of midfield, with both Lee Bowyer and Darren Ambrose so far failing to fill the boots of the departed Nolberto Solano.

Wright-Phillips, who can play as an out and out winger or a wing-back, could provide the solution.

Sir Bobby Robson has been told he will have money to spend this summer, regardless of whether his side qualifies for the Champions League.

He's fucking class, a little engine box - can put his foot in and can pun pass the ball well, he's can also put the ball into the back of the net when needed !

Id be well happy if they signed him cos Bowyer isnt the Lee Bowyer we all knew that carried Leeds and Ambrose just isnt good enough, yet anyways !!!

    :D :D

I reckon Bowyer is toothless these days. Ambrose has shown a few glimpses of the player he could be in a couple of seasons but we need it now. Wright-Philips would defo give the side better shape and much more penetration, oooeer!
