    Worrying Form ?

Anyone else slightly concerned about the form of Owen and Beckham so far in the tournament ?? so far neither have them have really turned up for me, fair play both played a part in our first goal yesterday but they are not contributing enough for me and if we are to win it we need these two on top of their game, i think Beckham is nowhere near as effective out on the right as he seems to find it hard to get in the game a dictate it and i reckon Owen is struggling with the fact he is no longer the countries main attacking focus now Rooney has burst on the scene. Only my opinion of course what do other people think ??? :)

fair enough about owen, at the moment you wouldn't notice if he wasn't there! but with beckham.. you would notice, admitedly he has been quiet... but he still makes a lot of really good passes into dangerous areas that create chances... his cross led to lampards goal against france, his pass to owen set up roony's first and his pass to gerrard helped him score the third against switzerland.... england have now scored 4 goals, 3 assists for beckham!:) :)

Owen is so out of form, hes not make any telling runs or getting himself into good positions. Beckham had one of his worst games for England yesterday and was hardly noticable on the pitch apart from the pass that started Rooneys first goal.

Would like to see Vassell and Hargreaves start against Croatia but its never gonna happen

Beckham has been ok and been involved with most goals. He hasnt been having games like he did agaisnt Greece in the Quals but he will never play as good as that again.

Owen is off form but I still wouldnt drop him, players like him dont need to play well. If the ball drops to him in the box most likly he will put it away. GREAT little dink for Rooneys first goal as well.

Owen isnt worthy of wearing the three lions IMO. Hes been gash for Liverpool all season bar a little flourish towards the end of the season. So far hes seemed sluggish and as if hes lost the ability he once had to seem to walk through defences.

The best option I say is play Scholes in his favoured position behond Rooney, he ill score more goals from here like he does for Man United.

Either that or get big Al out of retirement I say! :D
