walcott? has he even played for arsenal yet? fair enough he is a surprise package but im shocked... still he's better than heskey

and jenas? i would have much preferred nolan or reo-coker.

downing's form has been patchy this season but he is naturally left footed and has put some awesome crosses in, notably the steaua game. im happy to see him there. same with lennon, he could be a good find.

and lets hope for a miracle with rooney.

how pissed off would defoe and bent be ? bents not even on standby ! sven blatantly knows rooney isnt going , hes going to push gerrard further forward and needs a defensive midfielder to cover so carrick will have a key role and its the only explanation i can think of for hargreaves being in the squad ! walcott is class but to not play a premiership game all season and then end up in the world cup squad thats just mental and unfair on others . But like i say hes good so maybe hel do well .

Where is ledley king tho hes back in training this week and surley if you can include injured players like rooney , owen , jenas you should have king in ahead of camp bell .....

I'm pleased he's taking Walcott, form what I seen of him at southampton he was amazing, his pace is unbelievable:eek:

They've been watching him in training so he must be something special if they're picking him on that alone.

Surprised to see Hargreaves in there tho, yetr to see him produces anything for england

its about time he stuck his neck out

i think it looks very promising, just without hargreaves

hargreaves is shite.....apart from that the squad looks class.....walcott has been watched in training and reserves, hasnt played in premiership probs cos they trainin him the arsenal style perhaps?? henry believes he's gonna be amazing. glad carrick is in and lennon will be a threat to any defence, swp hasnt played enough and when he has he's shown that lack of games with a lack of confidence....but....really it does rest on rooney and owen being fit.

bent and defoe, don't make me laugh

why is it hard for so many people to see that this kid is obviously the shiz niz. sven is a lot of things and wenger isn't short of critics but they both agree he can do something at the WC and with their experience in football, walcott in the squad has my full backing.

so fuck if he has no experience, defoe has england caps and bent has scored a lot of goals this season but neither have any real class do they? they're not bad premiership players but we need players with genuine talent a la lennon, walcott, rooney, gerrard.

lennon is my tip to shine at the WC this summer and walcott just behind him.

shame sven didnt have this 'he who dares' attitude a little bit earlier in his 5 and half years in charge!

Seems a bit of a poor selection.. 2 injured strikers, 1 who's barely played and 1 who is Peter Crouch! It's mental to pick Walcott. If he was that good surely he'd be getting a Premiership game for Arsenal?

No SWP or Bent...:spangled: Bent has scored 18 (?) league goals in an average Charlton team and he's behind Johnson & Defoe..?

And Jenas & Hargreaves? Would much rather see the likes of Reo-Coker (who's looked the part this season) get in. Hargreaves in particular has never done anything good for England. And Jenas is SHITE!

    Does he defo do that?

No matter how good Theo is, he hasn't even played against Premiership defenders, nevermind World Class ones, it's a massive gamble! Rooney and Owen aren't going to be fit, it's not leaving us much up front. Defoe had hardly player, whilst Johnson hasn't even been in recent squads, very strange why Bent isn't in. I hate JJ, he should be nowhere near the world cup! Nolan and Barton are so much better than him, it's a disgrace!

who gives a shit if he plays week in week out with bayern (he has been injured for much of this season)

but it's when he has played for england that bothers me so much, sven sees him as someone to bring on when we're up against it in crucial games but he has been shite everytime
