Did you see it coming Nige, did you think you's could win?? Or was it a real shock to you's?? Suppose they had to get beat at some point, but at home to Ireland!!
To be fair, i thought if england played badly (which they did), and Ireland play within their potential, then Ireland could win. Needed to go in at half time winning as we always seem to fade in the last 20 mins. We have two great centres in O'Driscal (passing a bit irratic today though)and D'Arcy, two excellent fly halves with O'gara and humphries, shane Byrne is every bit as good as Keith Wood was now, and our pack is as strong as ever, so realisticly Ireland were never going to be a walkover like the Italy or Scotish games. England tried too hard to take O'Driscal out of the game rather that them taking it to the irish, and their negativity in the first half cost them dear. As well as possible being the closest three non-try's i have ever seen................unlucky, oh well, never mind.
Ireland deserved that win. Yes even i'll admit it! They had a game plan and attacked England well through the centres and territory. D'Arcy had a great game as did O'Gara. Our tackling was the worst i have ever seen in the past 5 year and ive never seen a lineout function as badly ever
not at all, u cant use that excuse for rugby. And it wud av bin even worse if he played for Ulster and not Leinster
I would like to remind spence of these words, and add another team to the list. AND....... ENGLAND = LOSERS
We have won more Grand slams than most of the other nations have won the 5/6 nations title, so we now use this tournament to build up for Rugby World Cup. The team will retain the World Cup in 4 years time, please bare with us during this transitional period. We will/may lose the odd battle to the minnows of rugby but we will win the ultimate prize AGAIN IN 4 YEARS TIME.
