Run my own business i.e. from the signature.

I dont think you can possibly like any job you do until its your own business/job to be honest. It seems a lot more worth while.

Exactly, I hate the fact that in all of my jobs so far I have been treat like shit whilst making people shit loads of money!

If I had enough dough I would start a business but I am a million miles away from that yet!

I own my own Ltd company and do .NET contract development and some consultancy/development on the side.

..... none of the hassles of being a permanent employee which wear you down after a while (wondering about salary, promotion, other people working enough, etc etc)

However ... no sick pay, no paid holidays, no pension, no benefits, and you have to have all the issues of running a business as well as actually doing the job.

The money is decent enough though.

I'm a Civil Servant working for the dapartment for work & pensions, i love my job! I'm on flexi time aswell so i can come & go when i please witch is great when considering getting lashed on a Sunday & knowing u i can lie in till 11:00am on a Monday morning!

I get well over 30 days annual holiday a year plus i can have 1 week off every month if i build up my flexi. The pay is pretty good, i've also got 2 pensions going with them & the cilvil service pension is the best you can get apparently.

So all in all i love my cushty office job:up:

I'm a risk management analyst in an energy consultancy, so basically I'm a consultant. You need to be spending at least £8 million a year on energy for me to be any use.

It pays the bills, and is sometimes interesting.

I was the manager of a bookies in my last job and that was the grimmest job I have ever had, really depressing dealing with pissheads and arseholes constantly!

Really really thinking hard about next career move, either going to college/uni to study Accounts or college for Music Tech course, two worlds apart but still undecided which to do!

I done a degree in music technology & when i started i was told 99% of graduates wont walk in to a job as a sound engineer, they were right, doing a course such as this is purely for personel development, beleive me. Do not expect to get a job from this course becasue you wont, think long & hard about it, i loved the course but sharp realised you have to make it on your own once graduated & becoming a producer takes great skill & patience.

    Good luck anyway bud:up:

If i could turn back time & i was in your shoes i would go for the accountancy mate, that is a career & pays much more than being a producer does unless your aiming to produce commercial music witch obviously pays big bucks if you get that far. Producing propper music like House ot trance ect. is more rewarding but wont rake in the pennies as much unless you get a major contract with a label, but the chances are slim as there is so much fierce competition in this industry it's unreal:wink:

    I'm a buyer for a marketing agency.

We do promotions and merchandise for McDonalds, Vodafone, Coca Cola, Uefa, Shell, Warner Brothers, Kraft..

We are doing all the branded merchandise for Euro 2008.

I work on the Kraft, Haagen Dazs and Old El Paso accounts.

And it's right in the centre of London.

Halifax call centre. I wouldnt say i like this job, but i dont hate it. Previous jobs ive had, tbh, iv enjoyed. When it comes to work i just shut up and get on with it. Fortunately ive chosen my jobs well and ended up liking them Wouldnt want to do them permanently though. lol
