not sure if anyone has seen this yet but it was in the mirror on sunday, very funny!

"After walking into a presenter's job at Real Madrid's own pay-to-view TV channel the shapely blonde suddenly became the Spanish soccer giant's FOURTH English superstar - after Galacticos David Beckham, Michael Owen and Jonathan Woodgate.

For six months she lived the fantasy life, rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in world football. But the dream came to a crushing end when she was sacked...and now Charlie has lifted the lid on the most exciting time of her life, revealing how she:

Slept with £100,000-a-week Woodgate and spent lazy weekends dining on fish fingers at his £1million villa.

Got fed-up with him bizarrely insisting on calling himself "JW" all the time, even stopping halfway through lovemaking to tell her: "JW's feeling you baby."

Grew close to David Beckham, who went out of his way to be nice to her.

Won through her first assignment thanks to "sweet" Michael Owen.

Partied at Ronaldo's three-storey, palatial mansion.

Charlie, 23, from Sheffield, landed her dream job last July. She was hired to front interviews with the English players - and within a week came face to face with all three at the team's famous Bernabeu stadium.

"On my first day, the TV channel's bosses nicknamed me the fourth English Galactico (star signing)," she says. "I had to pinch myself just to check that it was all for real.

"I was really nervous. I was told to try to get interviews with David, Jonathan and Michael. I remember just standing in the corner of the room not knowing what to do next.

Jonathan walked right up to me and introduced himself. I knew he'd played for Leeds so we started talking about nightclubs there we both knew.

"David joined us and eventually Michael wandered up. He was really sweet. All three of them made a real fuss of me.

"Jonathan let me interview him for a few minutes on camera so I would have something for my boss from my first assignment. At the end of the night he gave me a lift back to the hotel where I was staying. There was chemistry between us from the off and we both knew it. He'd split from his girlfriend Kate Lawler a few months earlier so we were both single.

HE pulled up outside the front of my hotel and leaned over and kissed me on the lips. It was just a peck but I kissed him back and I knew that we really liked each other.

"We swapped numbers and the next day he sent me a lovely text telling me that if I needed anything, I should just ask him. A couple of nights later we went out to dinner and started dating properly.

"He was injured at the time and so spent a lot of time at home. He seemed really lonely. His house is stunning but seemed empty with just him living there.

"And there was one thing that used to annoy me. He talks in the third person and calls himself JW. He would say things like, 'JW's loving you' and JW's feeling good today'. The strangest thing was when we were making love. He would suddenly stop midway, stare down at me and say, 'JW's feeling you baby'.

"When I stayed overnight we would just laze around in bed watching Sky Sports. He loves watching golf. Sometimes he watches golf for 14 hours solid. When he's not watching TV he's lying in bed with his laptop, gambling thousands of pounds on internet horse racing.

"For lunch - and sometimes dinner, too - he cooks himself fish fingers. That's his favourite. We'd joke about how he earns £100,000 a week but loves eating fish fingers. He wasn't into spending loads of money. Secretly I think he's quite tight."

Within a few weeks, Charlie hit it off with the team's Brazilian stars too.

"They all stick together in a little clique and aren't very matey with the English or Spanish players," she says. "Ronaldo is the ringleader. Then there's Robinho, Roberto Carlos and Julio Baptista.

"I'd heard that Ronaldo had the biggest house of all the players and that his parties were legendary. I'd made friends with a couple of Brazilian girls who also work for the club and just before Christmas we were invited to Ronaldo's place. It was a match day, but he and Julio were injured and so weren't playing.

"When I got there I couldn't believe it. It was more of an estate than a house. It's three storeys with more than a dozen rooms. When I got there they had the game on TV. Ronaldo was jumping to his feet every time Raul missed a chance.

"We won the match 2-0 and when the game finished Roberto Carlos rang from the dressing room and said the team was flying back to Madrid and that the Brazilians would be at Ronaldo's in a couple of hours for a party.

"When they got there they were all hugging each other. Ronaldo has a DJ booth in the house and he started DJing while everyone played pool.

"It was amazing. At one point Ronaldo got his live-in chef to make us all a load of sushi.

"We all got drunk on a special rum from Brazil called Brugal, then they got out guitars and bongos and played Brazilian folk songs. It was a wicked night and I'll never forget it. Everywhere you looked there was total and utter luxury.

"A few Brazilian girls work for the club and they're always round at Ronaldo's place. He and Roberto Carlos and Robinho and Julio Baptista flirt with them all the time and see themselves as a little Brazilian gang. I was only invited because I knew the girls. They're all drop-dead gorgeous so you can imagine the kind of scene it is.

RONNIE (Ronaldo) has a reputation as a ladies' man and loves being surrounded by beautiful people."

A month after Charlie arrived in Madrid, Michael Owen returned to England to play for Newcastle United. "When Michael left it was a shock," she says. "I don't think he was ever truly happy in Madrid. He was pally with Woody but the two of them kept away from the other players and did their own thing."

Charlie continued to date Woodgate and met Beckham at club functions and parties. "What can I say about David?" she says. "He's a genuinely nice guy. He's top dog at Real Madrid because he earns the club the most money off the pitch. You would think that that might mean that he was a bit resented by the others, but that's not the case.

"The few times I was with him he went out of his way to be nice to me. Once he told me I was his favourite out of all the journalists and TV presenters, but I never once sensed that he was trying to flirt with me. I remember taking a young lad to see him at the training ground once.

"He'd won a competition and the prize was to meet David. He'd just finished training and was soaked with sweat - and looked fantastic. He joked with the lad that he was being looked after by the nicest lady at Real Madrid."

Last week Charlie's dream turned into a nightmare when she was sacked after being wrongly accused of selling a magazine photographs of her posing with Beckham and Ronaldo on a pre-season training trip. "I feel sad that it all ended in the way it did," she says. "I learned a lot at Real Madrid and had the best time ever. Jonathan and me have drifted apart, but we're still great mates.

"Unfortunately, the way I have been treated has turned out to be terrible. I didn't know anything about the photographs of me and David and Ronaldo. They were taken on a pre-season training trip to Austria in August.

"I showed them to an agency when I was having some modelling shots done and a guy asked if he could copy them. I was naive and I said yes but that they couldn't be published because I'd get into trouble with the club.

"They're really protective of the players and they would consider a photo of one of them as their property. The first thing I knew about them appearing in a magazine was when someone from the club rang me and said it was a sackable offence.

"I tried to explain how it had happened and but it was no use. The channel suspended me and the next day there was a story in the Spanish newspapers saying that I'd been sacked.

"I just want to crack on in my presenting career and be taken seriously for the talent I have. Real was a rollercoaster while it lasted and I made some good friends and had some good times.

"Now it's time for me to move on with my life and I can't wait for what's next." "
