    wireless problem

Recently bought new PC with shitty Vista ,with a built in wireless adapter.

Problem I have is that when I leave my computer on at night to download torrents etc, I wake up the next morning to find that hardly fuck all has downloaded and at the bottom right of the screen (network status) is saying limited connectivity.

Ive tried going into device manager etc, all is fine and I'm using the same security for my router when i had xp.

I have a belkin router but not sure what the adapter is but can find out when i'm next home.

Anyone else had this problem or similar??? Cheers

nar, limited connectivity is a problem between your PC and the router. i find i get this message on my PC at home when i've not put my wireless key in properly - it can see the router but it's not giving it access.

Get onto the router (u should be able to access the config page by typing 192.168.1.1 into internet explorer) and disable ALL wireless security (this is only temporary just to see if u can get it to work) - see if by doing that is solves it.

might have to sort out a key for my net like - my street seems to be sharing connections - my gaff, both next door neighbours and a couple of houses over the road all seem to be connecting randomly to eachothers routers :spangled:

a while ago about 15 polish labourers moved into a place down the road and were basically running about in a white transit van with a laptop pinching internet - i thought it was some kind of government/law conspiracy until i walked past them one night and caught them playing online poker

Deffos a router problem, there a fuckin nightmare, nomatter how much u spend, never leave ur fone next to a router word of techinal advice there lol, if any1 with wireless can hook there modem str8 to there laptop/pc via ethernet for downloading tunes id advise that, theyl be done within a hour or so. If any1 does unhook there router n go directly from the modem, be sure to click Run then type in IPCONFIG to make sure ur default gateway is set and ip etc. Anyway enuf from me
