    Wireless networks...

...are doing my head in :bang:

one of the computers on our network is disconnecting every 60 seconds then instantly reconnecting (by which time you've lost your download) and I've no idea why. I assume there must be some setting in windows, but I've no idea what it could be.

Also, every now and again, it will lose the internet connection whilst keeping the network connection, and need to be reset, and restarted.

It's a total pain in the arse, if anyone understands these things, could they please let me know what I could do about it!

    Thanks:)

Out in the sticks cool as fukk gang! :)
mine used to do this, i just updated the router firmware, updated everything else related to it, re positioned it for better signal, and all is ok. it does occasionally lose the net connection but (supposedly) keep the network connection, but if i try to ping the router it doesnt respond. to get round this ur right, restart either the computer or the router (or both). fortunately it only does this once in a blue moon. the other system in the house with a low signal is plagued by this problem, but it can't be helped. the laptop downstairs never has this problem(because it's next to the router)... unless the router itself has frozen up.

i dont really know what else i can suggest, having used it for a while i've came to the conclusion that at some point it will lose it's connection, but if kept up to date and within decent signal range it shouldnt do it too often.

cheers, i'll give it a try....

i'm thinking it might be easier to just string some network cable around the house if this doesn't work
