    and this would work if for example u were changing a dodgy key to a genuine one? Theoretically speaking like...... for me mate! :wink:

    And would get past windows validation probs which 'could possibly occur'?

    what if u wanted to re-install xp, it came pre-loaded in my comp and i have no idea where any disc/validation key have gone...what would i do then?

    more than likely it'll be on a microsoft sticker attached to either the user manual for your PC or to the back of the tower itself :up:
