windows problem

    windows problem

    dont have a recovery cd and dont no password to log onto windows, any way around this? is for a display pc at work which some little cretin has changed the password so all we get is the log in screen. could get recovery discs from manufacturer but they dont come cheap.
    any help appreciated

    is there anyway you can do this without downloading anything to a disc as our system doesnt allow downloads.

    can you not start it in safe mode and use the Administrator account?

    Or has the little shitbag changed the password for that account?

    there isnt an administrator account...just the default account we made....its a display laptop at work which some twat has messed up lol

    There's usually an Administrator account which is hidden unless you boot it up in safe mode.... then it'll appear on the login screen.

    Unless the account you've used is the admin account and you've renamed it, in which case you're shafted.

    There is a way past the administrator password by pressing f8 or something at a certain point in the windows installation - this just needs a windows CD.

    perhaps they arn't.....but this doesnt change the fact that it takes less than 30 seconds to break any local account password!
