windows messenger service all of a sudden started getting these pop up messages again and cant remember how to stop them...help

Or if you don't wanna use safe XP for some reason.. Goto Control Panel Goto Administrative tools. Launch Computer Management Expand Services and applications Click on services and wait for the right hand window to populate. Scroll down to Messenger Double click on Messenger Click the Stop button under service status Also Click disabled under startup type. That should do it.. But SafeXP is the better bet!!
