Win XP SP2 stops drive shares on internal network

We've got 1 PC in the office that has SP2 installed, and despite setting up a full control share on drive C we can't connect to it.

We've turned off the firewall and opened up as many settings as poss but no joy.

    Any ideas anyone?

yup, after the major fuck up from the first release (and after they put out all the sp2 disks) they realised they fucked up big time.

a couple of weeks later there was a massive auto-update, something stupid like 300 meg that fixed everything.

ppl who are installing xp sp2 from the disk thinking they have the all new sparkly version are actually installing a big bag of shite.

so for those ppl installing from the sp2 disk, turn on your firewall and start the auto-update before u do anything else, this should apply the patch and let things run smooth as a baby's bot, as apposed to a gravel path

as far as i know, but not willing to say a 100% yes, as im not wireless.

i should imagine the patch will have fixed things to enable it to work like sp1, or there would be no reason for a release/update... or why would anyone change to the new one if it was worse?

it is microslop at the end of the day though and your right, they arnt to be trusted

Ah! So it was their fault was it!!!

I had MAJOR problems because of that.

Every time i tried to connect to my PCs hard drive from my laptop...my pc blue screened!!

It also took out my network completely.

Maybe I will set it up again soon :D
