WIN! Two guestlist places to Freaky Dancing's 2 Decades of Dance - 3rd March 2007

The nice people at Freaky Dancing have given us two guestlist places to give away to one very deserving winner for their event on Saturday 3rd March!

All you have to do is answer the following question.....

Which year did Chris from Altern8 stand in the general
election for the "Hardcore - U Know The Score Party"? (where he polled 152 votes, managing not to come last).

Email answers to admin@freakydancing.net by 11am Friday when we'll draw the winner of 2 guestlist places (one winner gets 2 places for the winner and friend), winner to be notified by email and announcement on Nucastle.co.uk.

    Good luck!

    ------------

Freaky Dancing's 2 Decades of Dance Party
Saturday 3rd March @ Newcastle University Union
10pm-3am / last entry midnight / all welcome
    £8 adv / £10 door

Freaky Dancing celebrates 2 decades of dance music on Saturday 3rd March with 3 rooms of Old Skool Rave, Acid House, Techno Classics, Jungle & Drum & Bass Classics, plus a 4th room hosted by The Guessmen's Co-lab record label showcasing some fresh new local talent.

Get your dust masks out & practice yer vicks blowbacks as we finally welcome the original rave nutters, ALTERN8 to newcastle (after a couple of aborted attempts over the years) for a 2 hour mainroom Old Skool Rave set.

Joining ALTERN8 in the main room is newcastle's very own original rave nutter, SMURF, resident / regular DJ at many a rave from the late 80's onwards including Judgement Day, and Fantazia, and currently one of the biggest names on the Dutch Gabba scene... we've persuaded smurf to leave the gabba at home tonight and dig out some of the best classic rave tunes, scratches, crackles and all. Freaky Dancing's very own rave affecianados Funsize Jonny & James Smith are on warm up duties.

Room 2 see's Tokyo Acid Cru returning with a brand new live set of old skool techno and acid house based tunage... if that makes no sense to you then you obviously missed their last live set for us when the TAC crew blew the roof of our last big acid house party in August last year.

Astro & Prism (the artist formerly known as Salad Butty) are joined by Pete Samplers in digging out their selection of the best techno tunage from the last 20 odd years.

Room 3 sees CURVES take control with a room of classic jungle and drum & bass from Dark Skies, Spectra & Roughneck.

Room 4 see's a label showcase from the Diesel U Music Award winning Guessmen's new label Co-lab, featuring The Guessmen, Acid Freddi, Mike PLUS & The Touch.

I thought competitions were all about getting new people to the board, data capture for future promos etc. If that's the goal you should have a ridiculously easy question (think Richard and Judy), so that lots of people will enter quickly and easily. You're much likely to get more entrants/new members that way than having to faff around with google etc.

    That's my two cents anyway.

How many sides does a square have?

(mind you, that would probably be too challenging for a number of members of the board)

I'm just saying you sat on the council for ages, promised us the world... and delivered fuck all ;)

I'm envious of your business melt, you're such an important figure to the North East scene... I'm chuffed that you're expanding into Europe...

Save the rave worldwide.... a detox vision.

i am surprised that somone with your apparent intellect who realised long ago there is no money to be had in clubbing aint worked that out

but money my "friend" who was born in dryburn hospital durham
is not my motivation for doing it

whe you work out what is come back

in the mean time, keep hacking peoples accounts
