Whq Perfect venue for Shindig given a decent sound system and maybe a slight make over? I have for a long time said for me its one of the best clubs in Newcastle, the layout etc even if half the time i go i cant remem what the DJ's have been like - also given how packed it was for the Thursday the other week Shindig thing can you imagine how far the ques would be down the road for someone like Carl Cox or Sasha / Steve Lawler / Morillo BTW > This is purely off my post not something i have been told or someone i have seen at the chippy or out walking the cat or someone i went past today when my scooter broke down.
I'd be happy with that, maybe a bit small for Shindig's crowd though? Hope they don't end up at Cosmic, even though I love the place - going to the same club for every night is rrrrrrrrrrrubbish.
Not that i am 100% but i can more or less bet me life that Shindig wont end up at the Cosmic Ballrooms. I just dont think it would happen, imagine that man Digital would go from having most nights to nowt and the Ballrooms everything.
Imagine Cox at the ballrooms, Shindig would have to charge a fortune to break even on a 500 capacity club.
Im sure Carl would love the fact he could get a decent supper before his set like then just walk to the club.
don't think whq is big enogh but was is always class on the thursday easter party - would love i to go there but can't see it happening
I wouldnt like to fork the bill out for his stowell st supper though! haha.. seriously though.. WHQ is a cracking space.. and we love the fellas who run it .. true old skool!!.. however they have a solid established saturday and like you say I don't think its big enough for some of the stuff we put on... HOWEVER.. make sure you get down to Tweakin' for our mini Shindig night at WHQ with Claude Von Stroke and Spencer Parker.. as it will be another Easter Soiree type affair check the thread in events.. http://www.nucastle.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=70700
