I would of said shay on time hes been here but i believe a captain should idealy be centrehalf or cental midfielder which is why i went scot parker headds a hell of alot to team and team look alot better with him. Just My opinion tho...........
none of them. Taylor in a few years. theres only ramage who seems to play with his heart on his sleeve.
i thats a point sorry cant belive ive misse dhim out player for the future with taylor and milner when hes back
im struggling to think of a captain for next season? probs will be taylor! owen dosent even want to play for us so whats the point?
do you really think that? did you see parker on saturday, it's the best game ive seen him play in. parker for captain all the way, i think he is a perfect successor
Shay would be my first choice but as mentioned you do need someone in the middle to organise so i would go for either parker or er .... er .... oh hang on the rest are shite
Do you even watch the games? Do you know what football is? Parker doesn't play with his heart on his sleeve? What a fucking idiot you really are
Given, Given and Given again! Even when he's injured! If Given doesn't become captain he should leave! He's been just as big a hero for the club than Shearer has been. Parker is a London boy and always will be (only here coz can't get a game for London team). Owen doesn't really want to be here.
Given can't command his own box never mind the rest of the pitch! He's not vocal enough, and you shouldn't really have a keeper as a captain, just like you shouldn't really have a striker. Parker, just like Bowyer always gives nothing more than 110%, and remember, he turned down Spurs to come here, so he could of easily stayed in the capital!
how can you say he deserves to be the captain? he's a decent player but not captain material at all. we need someone like Lee Clark who is 100% commited to the club. so miller i think you need to get a grip.
Jambon mate, do you even go to the matches, or even watch them for that matter? How is Parker not 100% commited to the club? Who was the one who game back after missing only 4 games after knee surgery fgs? He gives 110% in every game, he never bottles a tackle, and is probably the most commited player I've ever seen at Newcastle, on par with the legend that is David Batty! He's pretty vocal, and is a natural leader! If you didn't already know, Lee Clark probably won't even be playing for Newcastle next season!
Definitely Parker, by a mile. Born leader tbh. Given just isn't commanding enough, he doesn't control the back line well enough (IMO) so I can't see him doing well in charge of the entire team. Taylor will probably be a good captain in a few years time when he's developed and become a bit more established as a team player.
where did i say he would be playing? i said we need someone with the same passion for the club as him.
I never said you did. I was pointing out reasons why he should be captain. I'd love to hear why he shouldn't be from yourself..........
