i hate the word, but thats the context id use to define 'cool' ...the majority of people i know like this would probably spit in your face if you called them 'cool' or 'trendy' ..or take offence

these people are usually the ones that set the trends for the mainstream.. after a few years.. like the whole 'boho' look that was kicking about a few years back is now 'the look' for a sizeable amount of girls you see out.. i think its vile.

I dont think 'cool' people have to necessarily have worn something years before its seen on the highstreet, as I dont think they have to listen to a completely different kind of music to everybody else...or get 'cool' things other people dont have...

Although I would say its 'cool' to be different, you can get average-joe's that are cool...(nooo pun intended!!)

i agree its totally open to interpretation.. surely though 'cool' is something that stands out and makes you go ...be it personality or general taste in fashion or music, intelligence, looks, degree of sanity..
