    iriver h340

bit thick, but thats all thats wrong with it.

Or H10, but you need the cradle to get a line-in on that.

Don't be stupid :p For the same money it costs to buy a PSP with a 1GB stick you could have a 60gb iPod photo :fart:

If the recording thing is a must then you may want to consider a Minidisc - I know they're not an MP3 player (and the capacity on them ain't that good either) but I've got one and I use it to record my sets when I'm playing out. You can get them with remotes too.

Not sure that many MP3 players have line inputs...

already got a minidisc, sick of having to change discs/disc's skipping/discs low storage

seems irivers are only ones with decent line in recording

Actually, iPods do have games on them (admittedly they are quite simple).

Thats not what the lad asked for. He asked for "i want an mp3 player that has line in recording, a remote control, anti skip playback, a canny big hardrive and fits easily into me pocket".

Note MP3 Player and not Portable Console:

Yeah, from what I've seen I'd agree. Only thing I don't like is the DRM crap on them, but I could put up with that if it was just for recording.

If you've got an older minidisc you can pick up better ones cheaper now - the MP3 player boom has pushed the prices down to rock bottom. My sister just got an all singing and dancing one from ebay with remote etc for £30.

True mate, but the above would be like me asking for advice on a new vinyl turntable and being recommended a laptop because "it has a colour screen, plays games and DVDs!"

Not really as a PSP is a small MP3 player and plays the same format not like a laptop and a deck which use differnet formats and one is portbale and one is not

I think you're missing the point - he asked for something that could record MP3 - you point him in the direction of something that plays games :fart: :D

I don't think PSP's have a line in on them anyway...
