    Which do u prefer?

Getting new promo's weeks/days before the tracks released or finding old gems.

Buying promo's seems pointless for me as they usually get a release the very next day then everyone buys it... as I don't play live its a waste of time - I might as well wait for the official release.... I prefer looking for foreign and older records that less people will hear and are almost impossible for other folks to get hold of.

I never shop in newcastle, theres nothing at all I like the styles I like are:

Cybertrance (think Canarias, Nexus, Ruudaman, Cyberdine, Neutropix)
Hard Italian Techno (think dj vortex & arpas dream, Julian DJ & Dave Sonar, Cherrymoon Traxx, DJ Devil)
    Acid Trance/Techno (I'm sure u know acid artists :D)

Also love hard house but I can buy all the hard house I'd want dirt cheap on the net (passion records, banging tunes, chemical records)

Steel wheels is good for the odd old gem. But I dont think they would have much Cybertrance,Hard Italian Techno and maybe not a lot of Acid Trance/Techno.

but surely everyother clued up dj will have the same tunage?

Least if you look abroad or for old gems (by gems I don't mean classics they could be promo's that were ahead of their time, just stuff people wont of heard) then you'll have a very unique sound.

For example thaat cybertrance tape I showed u on the way to gkgg... that was a year old and had a mixture of old and enw tunes you'd never heard and were unlikely to heard again (the only 1 that got a release over here a year later was ducktoy)
