    Which car?

Boxster or Elise? Or what would you get in that price range? Don't say TT though. I'm thinking Elise coz Boxsters are becoming really popular and the Elise went around the Top Gear track about 8 seconds faster.

I would only get an elise as a weekend/second car.

Boxster is a wicked motor... although the originals are starting to look decidedly dated compared to the facelifted boxter S's doing the rounds these days.

At that price range you could always look at a mid 90's 911 carerra or something.... or a 968 club sport :)

The S2000 will be by far the most reliable, i think the skyline is a bit too chav.

The new one looks quite nice though

    S2000 pisses on both

The boxter is a total girls car like, and as clarkson says, you only get one cos you can't afford a 911.

As for the elise, it's hardly practical, not really comfy, totally sparse, and the roofs leak.

    Ditto

But I wouldn't ever buy one like.

Unless you plan on taking up hair dressing, I would suggest avoiding it.

You want people to think, 'quality car' not 'tosser'. :p

    Say NO to Boxsters

it is a quality motor, granted it looks girly but performance wise an for day to day driving it gets the perfect blend of performance an practicality.

350Z Couple on a 03 plate when new was £23995

"280bhp/268 lb ft 3.5-litre 24-valve V6, hooked to a six-speed manual 'box, a combination sufficient to launch it at a restricted 155mph top speed, broaching 62mph in 5.9 seconds"

    An 03 Boxter RRP of £31630 (2.7 litre 228bhp) to £ 40089 for the 3.2 S model 260bhp

I would have the 350Z any day personally much more agressive and manly :D

People slag the boxster off but its one of the greatest "drivers" performance cars of recent times, which is something even top reviewers and the like will say.

I think some people have it in their minds that Jezza Clarkson is the only reviewer on earth... just because he says something is good or bad.... doesnt necessarily mean he's either a) right or b) right for everyone.

Dunno why people are talking about exige's or 350z's ... those are both 20k cars even second hand and you'll be hard pushed to even find one anyways, let alone the further up north you go.

Having said that, you can get a second hand import RX8 for around 15-16k these days..... what car rated it above the 350z so theres always that to bear in mind.
