Kevin Phillips scored a corker England 2 - 0 Turkey was just a mint game, was about more than just football! Quality atmosphere. The trouble spoilt it slightly but still a mint game
NUFC Vs Barcelona - 3-2 - as much as if it had of went on any longer then we would of been beaten - was more than proud to be wearing a toon top that night with Asprilla on the back even if i got sacked the next day for going when on the sick and being caught there NUFC Vs Leicester - 7-1 - Topped off an amazing season of which i never missed a match , me in the gallowgate usual spot wi me mam n her lad at the time - proper family day out wi a home made flag n all sorts Im trying to think of ones where we havent slaughtered teams but just the atmosphere in general was amazing, generally was the first Season in the Prem when i had a half season ticket - i didnt go to the Man Utd 5-1 game cos me mam chose the ticket that day Im sure more will come up tho
Northern Ireland 1 Germany 3 in 1997 at Windsor park, although we got beat Michael Hughes put us ahead and we were out playing them. The German fans were going ape, especially when we started singing the dambusters at them . Then oliver Beirhoff (spelling) came on and scored a hattrick in 5 mins flattering them, still a cracking game though, but whe had Klinsman and co rattle for most of the match.
Play off semi @ St James Newcastle 0 - 2 SUNDERLAND Eric Gates and Gabbiadini scoring i was only a nipper of 10 but i remember it really well, atmosphere was unreal, silenced the Geordies early on and after than the red and white army were in full voice. The Geordie faithful even invaded the pitch to get the called off but it didnt work.
