    whats going on....?

why is promise struggling to get the crowds in at the moment?
fridays was pretty dead by 2am....
why arent people comming any more (ie why arent you comming?! cos i didnt see many for u lot there on fri..!)
its your best local club, you use the board, but dont go to the club??
its a shame to see it happening to promise.....do u want promise to stop or something?
people complain about massive one off events (GK) but then u dont go to weekly nights.....

    rant over.

I d say its gone into catch 22 situation, whereby people are leaving cos they re bored, which lessens the atmosphere, which in turn causes more people to leave. Vicious cycle, one that needs to be broken asap… Its not just the crowds that will leave, its the quality of djs too. Its also a dodgy time of year, particularly for students, who ve all probs maxed their loans and money sources by now with it coming up to end of term. I don’t want to start shouting solutions, cos I don’t have a clue how to run a club, but onwe thing that way work, its heavy heavy advertising… with 4 universities in Newcastle's catchment area, its not like theres a lack of young up for a good time people. Also, maybes Promise should get their fingers in a few uni nights. Just to help with promoting. In my freshers week, Gatecrasher held a night, with Scott Bond, and cos its freshers week, it was rammed. Stuff like this i reckon will attract more people to Promise. Just a few ideas i had:)
The students that may have been a bit undecided may have decided to check out Crasher in Sheffield, just for an experience, and got right into ot...

I aint sure myself although i did express me view on this on friday when rather pissed!!!http://www.promisealways.com/messages/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12457
There was about 40 people on the board when i posted that:lol:

If Promise does'nt start getting bigger crowds, i won't be surprised if it reduces the amount of nights it does:(

So come on people sort it OUT;) :)

also, u cant force people to go to promise, its gotta be something they want to go to. Telling people to sort it out is bullshit.

most people use the website, cos a) its something to do instead of work, b) post here cos they re mates do. The board also accounts for about tenth of the capacity f Promise. I dunno, it seems its getting to point, where its only the board members know about Promise.

They may have interest, but if they wanted to go they would. telling people to go isnt going to do anything.

but reckon yoji sounds like it's gonna get a good turnout :)

What's gotta be remembered about Yoji night is that it's the same weekend as tidy weekender, so it's very possible that it'll be a bit quieter than usual

and also, although us clubbed up ppl with our clubbed up knowledge know all about yoji, i imagine some of the lesser clubbed up ppl (i.e. the beer girls and boys {we need them to make the club busy too ya know}) wont know who yoji is, and therefor wont be that tempted to come and see him!!

i was there on fri, and i was very shocked at how quiet it was!!

what im hoping is that people who are 'knowlegdeable' will see the fact a huge talent from japan is playing his first set of the year here... and travel for it.

Once again tho, this all depends on advertising.
