What would...... Ya do if there was no Promise ?? Travel further and go weekly to the likes of : Godskitchen Slinky Passion Arches Gatecrasher (Monthly) / London I mean we all know some peoples lives revolve round Promise / Message board but what really would ya do ?
Re: What would...... fuck knows wot i wud do :spangled: :spangled: wudant be able to afford to go 2 wanna them every week
Gatecrasher will always be No 1 for me - would have loved to have seen it in its hey day which a few me mates have like and altho theres this comment and that i can say ive had the best times of my life clubbing there Id like to go to Gods more and Slinky / Passion too !
Theres a shortage of HH like must say for those that like it - cant see it being a failure either as loads are fans !
You say that, and there are loads of fans, but no-one ever turns up to a night when it is on! I think the fan base has grown up here dramatically over the last year though, so it could be worth a try. Smartie - would you go for the really hard stuff (and keep the purists happy, but be skint) or tone it down a bit for the masses (and get more through the door)?
I'm relatively new to the clubbing scene but Promise is my main club. At the moment I would just have to wait til Gods comes to telewest, leaving me a very quiet clubbing life!
Variety is the spice of life... I'd tend to do things different to previous hard house nights in newcastle. Primarly I'd go for 2 rooms (I know this isn't easy), the first room being hard house starting bouncey and uplifting stuff (tidy boys, eddie halliwel, etc.) and then progressing to harder stuff (not glazby hard though, I'd probably steer clear of nrg as I think it's peaked)... however I would have variety and nrg, hard trance, acid, etc. would all get the odd booking To get to the stage where I was big enough to get 1 - 2 big name crowd pullers I'd try to run promotions that maybe weren't as financially rewarding in the beginning but would help establish a loyal fan base to build the club on. The second room would be alternative down tempo stuff from jazz to electroclash from balearic house to breaks (a big mash up of down tempo stuff) which would maybe help bring in a more alternative crowd. Basically my night would be a fucking huge success
If there was no promise? Hmmmm Well since promise is the only night club in the entire universe then i would probably never go out anywhere apart from to school as i don't want to fail my GCSE's.
Bin Laden has a boat!!!??? I'd probably spend more time at Uni if Promise didn't exist and go to GoodGreef more instead.
