fair1 mate,,but the bloke has turned the club around he jus took the reigns at a bad time. The fans have bin shit with him like jus coz he didnt arrive wit a bit cred (like bobby). we were crap and there looked like there was no hope. we are a massive club and we were 12/13th in the prem with no light at the end of the tunnel, why shouldnt we complain? we should be in the CL spot.

i don't think we're unique in being that way are we? it's just a desire to see the club do well in my opinion. i really disagree with you saying that we're fickle, we're no different to any other team's fans. last year everton just avoided relegation, there were calls for moyes' head, now they're 4th and guna get CL, their fans now call him the "moyes-iah", that was only 5/6 months ago... are they fickle?

there are many other examples of this and if you are football fan who has followed the game for years then you should be aware of this. it's not just with managers either, players get it all the time. if owen doesn't get enough golas for england,he is critiscised by the press and fans, when he starts scoring again, everyone talks about how world class he is. my point is that this sort of fickle behaviour goes on in almost every part of football so you can't pigion hole newcastle fans as being 'fickle' can you?

christ, talk about fickle, how many managers have spurs gone through since the start of the premiership???

i hate souness and would rather loose every game 5-6 then win 1-0.

people were very quick to jump on him, but given the circumstances i dont think we could expect any less, we went from a relative position of power to struggling badly, and that clearly invoked dalglish style nightmares.

his style of play seems to be paying dividends now, and therefore he is rightly recieving praise. nothing too complex about it.

as for the 'big club' comments, at least in financial terms you need only look at the tables, where we always place very very highly.

grief all you will but we know that our side on form, playing well deserves a uefa or CL spot, i knew that before souness's arrival, they just werent playing well then, a few changes seem to have strengthened things and the morale looks high.

Poor Quick has never got over the fact that Hod the God a Spurs man through and through was never as good a boss as George the Gunner when in charge of Spurs boss. Also if you lived anywhere near the club you supported you would suffer exteme football fans views on a daily basis, FACT!!!

Don't ever listen to local radio stations,read fans texts in Chronicle & never log onto the BBC messageboard I find these steps make you more level headed in your views

You would be surprised how many Newcastle shirts I saw when I was in Indonesia. On my first night there, in Jakarta, I walked into the hostel and the first thing I saw was a Newcastle pennant!
