Well.. am back from Holland .. and for the city which is the home of dutch trance, Amsterdam has only TWO record shops which sell trance records! (after much direction asking from the peeps in the record shops!) So Cogan, it looks like i'll be buying your record from HMV today I spent most of my break out in the sticks in the north part of the country - a picturesque town called Beilen. Weather was excellent, no distractions, chilled out to the max, did absolutely nothing except have BBQ's in the evening and a relaxing bike ride I did go to the main city nearby, Groningen. Quite compact city with plenty shops, though the city has retained it's original character. If you ever go there look for a place called NewsCafe - really chilled out feel with funky relaxed music, much like you'll find at Stereo. Plus, it's the only bar i found which will serve you a proper pint. Amsterdam on the other hand was lively as hell - loads of bars/cafes, friendly atmosphere (appart from the Londoners making complete arses of themselves). It's certainly a place I'd visit again, but it surprises me that trance music isn't so prevailent here. Then again i only had two days and expl, ored half the city, might have missed some of it Anyway.. roll on Friday, the DJ Comp beckons and I have a set to play
Good afternoon GK...pics are up of biatchs party somewhere. Nice one of you Mr! What have you got in store for this Fri?
Hey there Sequoia Yes i did find that pic.. one word for my state there.. FLAKED! I aint too worried like cos i've had far worse pics of me than that (beware anyone you go on holiday with who has a camera.. ) As for Friday.. wiat and see. i hoenstly dunno what i'm gonna do but i think i might geta rough idea for a set of two using some of the new stuff i brought back from Holland - One thing to note: not one single record shop i came across had any thing by the dutch masters (Corsen, Van Buuren etc) ! Strawberry Kitten, hope you'll be around on Friday for the DJ Comp. If not I'll keep an eye out for ya at Promise
