leeds is much much better than edinburgh for shopping mate, and probably for the drinking, edinburgh has some really good bars, but they're all spread out.. and its all up hill!!! you'll be fooked by the end of the night...!! :) :)

Leeds, Edinburgh, A few places in Ireland, London and i know a few lads that were working in cardiff and they said it was good crack.

    Skegness? Scarborough?

depending on what kind of trip this is - cottages in yorkshire arent that expensive and are a good weekend spent :)

York is nice and its not too far away from Newcastle. Its nice for shopping and is really pretty!! :)

Not sure how good it would be on a night out though, but for a nice meal and drinks....I think it would be ok!

lake district or the highlands mate! but if your not the "lets climb that mountain, then jump off that ledge into a lake, then scoot thru those woodlands on mountain bikes" type try flying to Dublin, meant to be mint (not UK like:p )

York is lovely (although I am biased). The nightlife used to be shite but it's a lot better now, especially down the riverside :)
