Weekend Footie Middlesborough V Newcastle *EDIT* IT SEEMS IT IS OFF! Sunderland V Charlton Sergeant Wilko is becoming more like Sergeant Bilko as each game goes by. My Mackem spies tell me Sunderland are going to play with 2 WINGERS!!! against Charlton. Can Sunderland persist much longer with a defence that has Babb & McCartney in it, get young Ben Clark in @ right back and if fit get Thome alongside Craddock. Charlton dont have any prolific goalscorers but they do have a team full of players who can chip in with goals. Charlton will have the young and gifted Scott Parker pulling the strings in midfield. Draw 1-1 (Charlton to score in injury time) Sheff Wed V Wolves It is not often nowadays that Sheff Wed can do something Newcastle couldn't do and that is beat Wolves. Sheff Wed manager & former Sunderland goalkeeper Chris Turner is like Bobby Robson a local man in charge of the club he supports. Turner has brought in 2 loan signings Welsh international Carl Robinson & has now brought in Sunderland forward Michael Reddy. Wolves were awesome last week in the cup with 'fatboy' Ndah excelling and Kenny Miller putting a couple in the old onion bag as well. I think this will be a bit after the lords mayor show for Wolves and that is why I think Sheff Wed will win 2-0. Spence
not gonna happen mate smoggies v toon has fallen victim of the weather in order words they were shitting there pants cos they were gonna get turnrd over
we have close to 6/7 inches of snow and the whole area ground to a standstill last night, with 30 min journeys taking upwards of 4 hours. i think the sensible descision has been made, also means we'll have southgate back edit: weather geeks are predicting more snow fall again tonight, now i'm really looking forward to the drive down to passion on sat now!!
I think he's trying to emply that boro wanted the match cancelled cause they were afraid of getting beat. Personally i thought it was due to the pitch being under 3 inches of snow.
aye, its defo off! bugga! well if its in 4 weeks, might have woodgate back from injurty to play against his fave team! nice!!
It will be strange for Sir Alan to play in a away ground where he isn't the most hated Newcastle player.
