Does it change back if you manually change your homepage? Download Windows Defender from the Microsoft site, and download Spybot Search & Destroy. Run scans for both. Post up a Hijack This log too. Alternatively if it still refuses to go away...one way to stop it loading is to block it. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc Open the file called HOSTS in notepad. create a new entry along the lines of: 127.0.0.1 www.dodgysite.com this will just make the site display "page cannot be displayed" and it won't be able to download any software.
they actually run in THIS order : 1. HKLM\Software\...\RunServicesOnce 2. HKLM\Software\...\RunServices [login] 3. HKLM\Software\...\RunOnce 4. HKLM\Software\...\Run 5. HKCU\Software\...\Run [startup folder] 6. HKCU\Software\...\RunOnce and as for modifying the HOSTS file - just use this one rather than putting them in individually : http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
