Re: "We want six" stick to your fizzy pop league my man, we might remember you's in a few years time if you have another of your yo-yo efforts. Maybes 3 seasons worth of points added together might be enough to stay up eh? Truthfully speaking tho...we deserve it
Re: Re: "We want six" blah blah blah your living in the past sunshine, one might say clutching a straws. and i don't think the standard in the 'fizzy pop' league is too bad, after all, the team thats top took you to the fucking cleaners last night.
Re: Re: Re: "We want six" newcastle are shocking, they played poorly at spurs but picked up points through hard work, if given was off form it could have easily been the same result as last night. but if you look at the amount of 1st team players missing, theres no excusing the performance last night as there were still experienced players who under-performed and have done for a while, then its no suprise that the team is going to struggle as there hasn't been a consistent starting line-up for roeder to choose from all season. i'm not one for making excuses like, but its obvious that newcastle second string aren't good enough to fill the gap left by injuries, thats why he needs to strengthen the squad as soon as possible. as for the sunderland argument, the club is going nowhere. if keane wants to linger on the play-off fringes with other clubs players, mainly the man utd youth team, then fair dues. But if thats a club with any ambition, there hiding it very well like.
Re: Re: Re: Re: "We want six" But didn't your very respectable and totally not embaressing chairman (or whatever he is) come out and say your youths are better than the Nevilles and Beckham and Scholes when they were coming through the Man Utd ranks and that you have bigger number of players coming though?
In the 14 years i have had my season ticket i must say that was the single WORSE preformance i have ever witnessed it was just a sham from start to finish.......wounded
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: "We want six" aye, if you read the post, i said they were shocking at spurs. By 1st team players i mean the players that would play when fit, Emre, Parker, Babayaro,N’Zogbia,Bramble,Duff,Moore, Bernard, Carr, Ameobi, Owen.
Re: Re: Re: Re: "We want six" have you swapped your brain for 2 cowies and a glowstick ? how are sunderland going no-where ? New owners, new manager, nearly a full team in new signings. After the losing our first 4 or 5 league games i don't think we're doing too bad, 1 point off the playoffs. Also to get a BIG name in like Roy Keane shows the club has ambition. We have spent a fair bit of money too for a championship side. you know nothing at all about football and are just gutted because the toon are rubbish
Re: Re: Re: "We want six" Do you blame me for trying to clutch a straw after last night? It made me feel better for a few minutes anyway
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: "We want six" I know enough about football to know that everything about sunderland football club is amusing, right down to their fickle supporters just like you. The sunderland squad has always lacked real quality, even in the "glory" years under peter reid, apart from a few england hopefuls, they never had any top quality footballers, and there still isn't. Within that period everyone jumped on the gravy train, buying season tickets, replica shirts, black cats, anything to do with the club. All the "fans" came out the woodwork and suddenly had something to say about football in the north east. The first thing was to have a go at newcastle. The reason people support sunderland is to attempt to better newcastle, sunderland have to constantly look up at newcastle and aim to reach that level. thats not just in terms of league position, but every aspect of the club. Its been like that a decade, and thats the top and bottom of it. When the club deteriates, so does your support. The seats empty, the red and white shirts dissapear, the mackems in the bigg market dissapear, and the digs at newcastle stop. Why is that? True fans support the club through thick and thin, they don't boycott matches because things aren't rosey at the club, how does that support or benefit the club? If newcastle lose or there is any dodgy incident at the club, sunderland fans are the first to have a go and a sly dig, because they feel that somehow this makes them better in their own eyes, but if they were to take a realistic look at their own club, they would see there was far bigger problems right on their own doorsteps, and in reality newcastle is a far bigger and in a much superior position to them. I only talk about sunderland in a conversation about football if a mackem has a go at newcastle, that the only time newcastle fans talk about sunderland, they don't go out there way to have a go at the other clubs misfortunes. A prime example of your full on fickleness is this thread, it shows your just another small minded mackem supporter, which is dissapointing as it seemed you were and a decent genuine football fan.
