We Love.... Fresh Blood July Winner This months Fresh Blood winner is Ben Gomori – CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO AND TO DOWNLOAD THE MIX Music is Ben’s life. He’s been a keen follower of dance music since he first heard his older brother’s hardcore and jungle tapes aged 10, and works in the clubbing/dance music industry as a PR and Journalist. His obsession with music doesn’t stop at dance music though – he enjoys and appreciates virtually every style of music – which explains his diverse take on DJing. Born to Hungarian parents in Cambridge, he now resides in London and has been making solid progress in the world of DJing. Ben plays across the house music spectrum. Deep, funk-fuelled, tough, progressive, groovy minimal, techy...there’s no prejudice as far as he’s concerned. He’s also been known to play the occasional deep downtempo set. Versatility is his key, and his passion for playing different styles of music has helped him to understand the intricacies of dance music at greater depth. His mixing style is involved and energetic – combining effects from his Kaoss Pad II with high-impact cutting and EQing on the mixer to make sure that there’s never a dull moment. But that’s not to say he doesn’t know when to let a track breathe...

I'm in to lots of sounds. I'm not in to registering for yet another website just so I can give someone's work a listen. From a listeners point of view, I think access to artists work should be the easiest thing in the world. The artist wants the listener to check out his work. The listener can always go to someone else for entertainment, therefore the easier it is the better. Direct links work. If the listener likes what they have heard, they will hunt out more from the artist. If the listener has to go through a signing up process, only to find that the work is not to taste, and have to now put up with spam from the email registration, the artist will probably not get another look in, and possibly get some foul mouthed remark whenever their name is brought up in a forum.
fucking hell mate, wind your neck in a bit eh? there's a direct link on the lad's profile on the we love... site if you're that bothered. is this the thing blev won a couple of years back? there's been some good mixes won it in the past like
Sorry Allie, i didnt realize it was your boyfriend knockin out the spam a direct link means you click to download from this thread, not have to visit another site, then sign up - its bollocks mate, its spam, leave it out
i'm not even going to retort to the first bit of that post because i'm no longer 14. why is it spam? it's the we love... site. have you clicked on it? it's just a 'reputable' site with some lad's mix and details on it i understand some beef with cc001 when he bangs on about defected-esque tripe like he used to on the habit board, but what's wrong with this? you're just being an arse for no reason.
 allie, have you clicked on it? there is no direct link unless you sign up, that is my point. it would be more beneficial to everyone if the spammer just posted a direct link to the mix and then a separate one to the website - without the signing up process i would love to be able to hear the "high-impact cutting and EQing", i just dont want to sign up for it with the possibly for more shite in my inbox
Allie, thanks for getting involved, but no harm done... Jase, each to their own, you are not a fan of signing up so be it...
