with the release of new line up's there a real lack of decent trance!

apart from lee and richard, we've got gielen, ferry (tbc) and only mr hardwick once!

what's going on!!we're not all fucking :monkey: !!

it's more the halliwells, john kelly, judge jules' that i'm worried about!!!same old same old...

fair enough quality is successfull and although i dont like it it's down to taste!

but jules and john kelly will pull no1 apart from bloody charvers, and things like this is making promise plummet fast to the bottom of the trance club list!!

we all used to love promise and it had a good reputation so why dont you book new and upcoming trance dj's and try and get it back!!

I said exactly this other day, I dont mind John Kelly but Halliwell and Jules seem to play way too often.

at least halliwell has his own style though!!!even though he aint that popular at the minute!!

jules and john kelly just play whatever the fuck comes into their heads...esp john kelly, for the past 3 years he's played the same fucking tunes, beachball, dj elite etc

if any other massive trance night had these on there would be uproar, promise should be pushing forward with new and exciting line ups!!not this!!

i don't mean up and coming dj's at my level for example...just people who havn't been all over everywhere yet like dj precision, goldenscan!

or why not someone inbetween i.e. les hemstock etc!!

people may even start travelling to promise from south of boro if they get decent people on!

then how low does it go before you end up running your average ritzy, with no decent dj's on?!?!cos they get the most people in don't they!!

obviously there has got to be a line where you do put people on to pull the townies in, but just thought we should make our feelings known!:p

you have quite an even split though, a few nights for the trance heads :cyber: and a few big nights for the :monkey: so Mark has put some thought into it

Re: Re: Re: we demand more trance!!!

i agree on the tomcraft thing, but i do not think there is enough trance on!!!

i don't think i could do a better job than mark and the team, but just thought i would let my feelings be known!!

i look at the line ups for crasher, vision, passion etc and get excited, and want to go...the same does not happen for promise anymore!:( :( :(

i'm sure he has, and i realise it must be a high pressure and stressful thing etc etc, but there's nothing like a good moan is there!:p

it's just when i looked at the new line ups, i was dissapointed more than anything else!

    indeed he has!
he cant plz anyone whatever he does these days!
im into my trance just as much my hh, and think the line ups are great!
ok, we all kno the more well known the name is, teh better the crowd, but in the longterm, isnt this what promise needs, the punters make up the money, and teh higher the money, the better the names!?... if u kno wot i mean?
les hemstock wud me great in promise, as well as mr ordenal, imo,, nd i dunno why peeps have such a hate for edie, hes mintos!
either way, mr deakin cant win, the line ups are a lot better than in previous much, so lets not be critical of it , and enjoy it!!!! xx:p

how fucking pissed off am i, just spend bloody ages typin out a dead long reply to this thread n ended up deletin it by accident so everyfink i was gonna say before is just gonna get summed up in a few words!! but jules has only eva played at promise4/5 times EVA so ya can hardly say that!! i can see where ur coming from dave but we need to have jules on a coupe of times a year for the sake of people like me who love him   hehe only joking but it does do promise the world of good finacially n crowd wise it'll make em a bloody fortune when he plays n even tho a lot fo the people who go see him are scallies at least it ensures a full club!! know what ya mean bout the more trance thing n yeah it wud be class to have more of the non-commercialised trance dj's but judging from previous times i.e johan gielen n les hemstock etc not that many people hav gone too see em as much as other djs which is a total shame cos i'd prefer to see someone like that rather than the likes of picotto/john kelly or whoeva but s'pose its just the way things r, i blame everyone 4 jumping on the hh bandwagon!! :D
we still hav got lotsa good trance dj's tho, matty h, ferry corsten (everyone moaned on about wanting him 2 play n now we've got him even tho its tbc...) jules (if ya can call him a trance dj these days) and gielen n that so we shud be happy about it reeli!! they are dead good line ups tho 4 both promise n quality i reckon!! god so much for summing all this up into a couple of words!!  sorry people!! :dunce: :dunce: :D xxxx

Judge Jules has played at Promise alot more than the up and coming trance dj's which are discussed on the thread.
I am looking forward to these new line ups and I have said before that I dont mind going to see Judge Jules and that he can be good at times.
    Chill out!

We all know that u would use Jules' shit for toothpaste:p:lol:
