Has just signed a new contract with chelsea

"I think I'll continue to get chances and so I'm delighted."

    what the fuck?

surely this is just to protect chelsea from allowing him to go on the cheap or either he is just another one of those players happy to sit on the bench and rake it in at chelsea

he will not get opportunities to play when cashely is fit so what's he playing at?

cant understand it myself, I knew the toon had no realistic chance of getting him like! Loads of people seemed to think it was a fore-gone conclusion. Chelsea have a smallish-although quality squad but he is limited with being a pure left back. If he was more versatile I could see him getting more oppurtunities but I feel itll be Cole more or less first on the team sheet unless he is injured or knackered.

Does he even get on the bench? I know Paulo Ferriera was LB before they got Ashley Cole.

    It's all about the £££££££££££££££££££££

Stay at Chelsea a few seasons, pick up some silverwear and a big pay check and also this means that when Chelsea do sell him they'll get a lot more money for him! Makes good financial sense really (unfortunately for us or anyone else looking to sign him for that matter)
