    WAX:ON 2ND ANNUAL DJ COMPETITION

    CALLING ALL DJS: BEDROOM DJS, WEDDING DJS, AMATEUR DJS, UP AND COMING DJS AND EVEN PRO DJS (IF YOU HAVE THE BALLS)... THE WAX:ON 2ND ANNUAL DJ COMPETITION ARRIVES THIS MONTH EVEN BIGGER AND BETTER THAN LAST YEAR… NOT ONLY WILL THE WINNER GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY A SET AT WAX:ON, THEY WILL ALSO HAVE THE CHANCE TO RECORD A MIX TO BE PUT OUT AS AN OFFICIAL WAX:ON PODCAST, RECEIVE GUESTLIST TO ALL WAX:ON EVENTS FOR A YEAR, A HANDFUL OF SIGNED VINYL AND MAYBE EVEN A SUPERSTAR PRIZE…

    THIS YEAR WE WILL ALSO BE JOINED BY CELEBRITY JUDGES FROM THE DANCE MUSIC INDUSTRY SO THIS IS A REAL CHANCE TO GET YOURSELF HEARD BY SOME SERIOUS INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS.

    THE FIRST HEATS WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY 21ST OF APRIL BEFORE JEFF MILLS TAKES TO THE DIGITAL DECKS AT WAX:ON.

    1)IN TRUE GONG SHOW STYLE, IF YOU’RE NOT UP TO SCRATCH ON THE DECKS YOU CAN BE EJECTED AT ANY TIME.

    2)DJS OF ALL MUSICAL DENOMINATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED AND WELCOME TO APPLY FOR A PLACE IN THE HEATS. WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE ALL OF LAST YEARS COMPETITORS RETURN AND MORE...

    3) AFTER TWO HOURS OF HEATS, TWO FINALISTS WILL BE TESTED TO THE FULL BY SPENDING AN HOUR EACH GOING BACK TO BACK WITH A WAX:ON RESIDENT.

    4)AS WELL AS TUNE SELECTION, CROWD INTERACTION, TECHNICAL ABILITY, ORIGINALITY AND SEX APPEAL… COMPETITORS WILL ALSO BE JUDGED ON CROWD ATTRACTION… THE MORE MATES IN YOUR SUPPORT CREW THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES.

    DJ competitions are totally weird.

    Loads of the DJ's mates giving it large until a competitor comes on. Then they just stand and growl whilst the next set of mates get it on. :lol:
