    Wav to MP3 convertor

What are good ones to download off the net (i'll happily pay for a good one)

Do they all do the same job or are some better than others?

I used this one on a free trial and it seemed spot on.

Was just wondering before i buy it :D

Is it easy enough to use?

    piss easy.

run audacity (it'll ask where you've got lame installed - u normally chuck this in windows\system32 i think) then, open the wav, the click 'save as' and choose MP3!

    couldn't be easier

    While you's are on:

Does anybody know how to change Ableton Live 5 so it plays mp3's? When I first got it all the files used to appear down the left whether they were .mp3 or .wav - now it will only show .wav files and I've no idea how this is or what I've actually done to it

just use soundforge then - audacity works in the same way as soundforge would.

They take up too much disk space. Plus I can't be arsed to convert my mp3's to .wav form.

    Can it be done though?

why? if they are mp3s anyway theres no point converting them to wav's, because the sound quality will be the same and they will take up loads more room on your hard disk.
