Was Roy Keane right about Mick Mc? When he said he a tactically unaware? Have SAFC been bad tactically or is it just that their players are shite?
I think sunderland have lacked passion. Obviousley i havent saw them much this season and only really saw highlights apart from 2 games.....Boro and Newcastle. On both occasions you played decent football but you looked like you wanted to win both games and pressed and tackled and challenged for every ball and showed hunger to win. From highlights on motd and football first i havent seen them doing that against other teams.
I think life in the premiership is far harder than it used to be - the divide between top and bottom is stretching year on year, proof of this lies no further than the following: 1) For the last two/three years, most or all of the teams to come up have gone straight back down the following season (west brom being the most recent exceptions I can think of) 2) If you look at the distribution of points between teams, there is an unnatural skew towards the top of the table (teams at the top are getting far more points than usual with regards to their respective positions, and the bottom teams are finishing with less points). Teams that get relegated usually lose out big time as well - look at how many players sunderland lost last time they went down. I don't know how well mcarthy has done to replace and rebuild on what wilkinson had but I doubt they are as strong as the team Reid had, and not all of that is his fault. I'd say he's doing the best with the resources he has, but they'd probably be in a better position if Reid was still in charge - he seems to be better at motivating them.
i think the idea of surviving the pl is signing decent quality imports from europe and decent premier league players,Your asking to get sent back down when you sign league two's player of the year and a bunch of unexperienced premiership players
Having been to a few Sunderland games this season its glaringly obvious that the players aren't capable of holding their own in the Premier League. They're probably playing at the top of their game...but unfortunately, thats not quite good enough. I can't particularly criticise McCarthy's tactical knowledge, because I don't think he plays things that differently to a lot of other managers. I do however think he has made a couple of bad buys which is now starting to show through, although with the money he had available and the possibility of relegation after their first season, he was hardly going to be able to bring in top players.
Mccarthy imo is a decent manager but he has baught a load of shite this season ! bassila and arca apart this mackem team is the worst collection of wannabes ive ever seen put them in the championship and theyl do well but jesus even the most stringent suporter could see at the beginig of the season they were never staying up with that squad .
i like mick mc but i think his time is up! esp WHEN we loose tonight! After the play off dissapointment i thought the players he brought in were superb Whitehead, lawrence etc.. and if i was honest i thought he'd do the same this time around! but hasn't! the current sunderland team is the worst i have seen for ages! there is no doubt we will go down again and probably with the least amount of points! Sunderlands main problem is Bob Murray!! He has been for years! He is one of the richest men in the north east yet he refuses to put any money into the club! He is a business man not a sunderland supporter! Look at that whealan bloke for wigan he loves that club, he has but millions and millions into wigan and look what they have achieved in such a short space of time, fulham done the same. if you ain't got money you ain't got shit .
was in the bookies @ lunch time and crouch has better odds than any sunderland player to score first lanky fuck
it makes no difference WE WILL GET BEAT! i will show my arse in fenwicks window if we win! Crouch Hatrick
