Wanted Watched this last night and quite enjoyed it. Despite the fact that essentially it's just The Matrix with assassins - it's a decent, above average action film. McAvoy is really good once again, likeable and believable. The director Timur Bekmambetov really knows how to shoot action well, but much like Night Watch (which I thought was massively overrated) sometimes it feels like it's all visuals and no substance. I also felt that Jolie was massively under used, she's a genuinely amazing dramatic actress yet her role in this is nothing more than to kick some ass and look fucking hot. (Which she does well though) Thought it started to lag a bit in the final third but still well well worth a watch. 7/10.
am i the only one that thinks it will be a complete cheese fest, im still going to see it like but im not having any high expectations
I'm a Projectionist mate so watched it as work. One of my jobs when on a close is to make up and view all incoming films.
It was previewing yesterday and today at Silverlink like. Infact the previews are probably nationwide mate.
This was alright. Coulda been better - at least I was expecting better, but it wasnt poor. The transition from loser to amazing assassin was a bit quick
i thought this was going to be tripe when i saw the trailer but i was really surprised, i basically saw it as the bastard child of the matrix and fightclub...few good twists and the ending made me not want to go back to work jolie and macavoy have signed up for another two apparently, dunno how the jolie things going to work like, maybe it'll go into the backstory or something. 8/10
Saw this yesterday. Enjoyed it, no thinking involved at all. Very easy to follow storyline, easy to guess twist. Not sure if it was worth the £10 admission tho.
