John Hardisty does em on cred, but now is a good time to find bargains in the classifieds.

Doggie, go for full bouncy, you will not regret it, promise

and Claud Butler do not make mid-high bikes, they make cheap bikes for fucking about on. I'd not ride down a kerb on one. I've got a full suss Orange X1, £1k 2nd hand, but like new, kona forks, XT wheels, best bike i ever rode by a looooooong way. Can do 40mph down-hill on rough ground, and it keeps the wheels on the ground (handy for steering and braking) :)

Pike, gis a shout if you want a hand, i know loads bout bikes

not sure I can afford a decent full sus bike… think I will go second hand though, done see point in buying a brand new one when u can get a far better bike for much less. The thing was if I do ride to n from uni, I don’t realy want a shit hot bike, but i suppose i could use the one i have now as a run around, and get a decent bike for the off-road stuff. Still not sure how much i ll have to spend, but mmmmm full sus would be sweet:D *there goes next years loan:D* time to start saving i thinks:D

I will sell mine for £300, Balistic Frame using Ritchie Drop outs & richie tubing, STX RC crakset & Bottom bracket & cassett. XT mechs and Xage rapid fire shifters and hubs. Marin Rockstar forks (hurt myself before i could afford suss frks).
About as lighter bike as you can get with a Steel frame - about 22 - 23lb.

Its not, i bought the frame myself about 4 years ago and built it up over the year and was gradualy increasing the spec to XT all round, then i had a accident and hurt my back so can only use it for road stuff now (and to be honest i can't be arsed, as its no fun), a bit of a waste really as i spent £350 on the frame alone.

what is the frame? Riding a bike like that on roads is completley pointless, like going to the shops for tabs in a F1 car. Your bike needs open hills and mud!

good decision, i promise you will not regret it.

Second hand, much cheaper. mine cost £1k, worth 1.5, and had new xtr wheels on it for that too.

How much you got to spend? How fast do you want to go? How much do you want to scare yourself?
