wanted : garage recommedations i need my head gasket replacing (or it could be the inlet manifold) i drive like a loon. i need a garage that wont charge me half thecars price to get it fixed. can anyone recommend? not ripping bastards like "£441.96" and not asking any questions about the type of car, size of engine, anything "£250" "oh ok, ill ringback later if i want to take you up on that" "oh, oh oh ill do it for £200? er, obviously depending on costs etc..." whatever. ripping fucks. just coz im a girl and mechanics think i know nothing.
what type of car is it because depends on make,model,engine size,and were r u at? the car i own is very rare so cost me alot..thou i do own a garage,thats a bonus,only i just repair crashed cars.. lets say a gasket set is 40,then uv gotta take head off,the skim the head,then replace....far few hours...garages charge 30 minium an hr...so i'd say when u add VAT... bout 400 let me know n al let you know if ur being ripped.......remember,pay cheap,pay twice
I use the one opposite Satellite (the old Powerhouse), think it's called National. I've used them for years and they have always been great.
kerrys dad should be able to get it dome for just over 100 though. i hardly think my mates dad will do a shoddy job or rip me off lol. i mean the vauxhall garage will do it, but for half the cars cost £441! its only a 1.2 corsa, r reg. ill sell it soon i should think, as im wanting a better car. ill have to wait till i win the lottery at this rate though! lu
reakon a corsa would be about 250.......nevr take your car to a main dealer,they rip up clean of and charge you stupid hr rates....bmw charge 90hr get yr mates dad to do it...he'l be ripping his self of and 1 weeks later your head will go again
