    Waking up

When I was young I was full of energy and couldn't wait to get up in the mornings, and now its a pure fight with myself to get out of bed and I hate every single time I wake up.

Are there things that you can do to 'freshen' yourself up (even before you go to bed) that make waking up easier?

I don't drink during the week and generally get about 8 hours sleep a night. Its really pissing me off even if I have a decent sleep, which I usually do, although I occasionally wake up around 4am for no apparent reason and quickly go back to sleep - whether that's a factor in it or not I don't know.

Its totally doing my head in though

Buy one of those coffee makers that activate when your alarm goes off, then you really have to wake up 'and smell the coffee' ;)

Works though, keep it next to your bed

it takes me aaaaages to get enough energy to get myself out of bed if ive had about 6 or more hours sleep. Other times when ive only had a few hours (4-5) i get up straight away and im quite energetic ... its weird

I dont really smoke weed at all and even 'back in the day' I hardly used alot. Its probably got something to do with my diet or lack there of, but Im too unmotivated to do anything about it.

Think it depends on your routine

I have to get up at 5am most morning so that means an earlyish night most nights although if I have a few hours sleep I can still get up and put in a days work

try not to drink or eat much an hour before you hit the sack :)

I'd feel well odd doing that for the fact that I'd be sitting on the bed all night looking at them not feeling tired at all.

Take 5-Htp before going to sleep. You get really deep sleep after taking it, and wake up really refreshed

Im generally a morning person and wake up quite easily but there are times when you just cant be arsed with work and want to stay in bed ... its alweays the perfect temerature when you wake up as well ,not to hot not to cold just bang on . best thing to do is set your alarm for half an hour before you get up then snooze it untill you need to get outa bed , jump in a shower , bath straight away and youl be good to go .
