Please bare in mind that I haven't had the chance to download and install this myself.. I have tried the 32bit link and it seems to still be working

    if it's a Pentium - it's 32bit. If it's an Athlon, it's 32 bit. if it's an AMD64 - it's 64 bit ;) if it's a Xeon, it's 64bit ;)

    I dunno.. I haven't tried it yet..
Just found the links on another site and posted em here..

Also.. what mos says about cpus is correct.. but there are also 64bit p4s out now (p4 d's.. LGA 775 chips I believe).

Just download the 32 bit one as all recently released processors can run in 32 bit mode..

New version of Windows, this is the public Beta version - offical release of this is not till 2007 - it's for developers, testers, IT professionals for evaluation primarily. but anyone can get it

However, as it's the Beta, it's time limited till June 2007

    Danke.

I love new shiny things :p , is it a fuck on swapping your windows over?

Would i have to reinstall all my exisiting software etc?

Or is it just like installing updates on exisiting software?

total rebuild. download the 2gig file, burn to a DVD, flatten your old machine and re-install from scratch. not as difficult as it sounds.

However, make sure your machine is good enough first, make sure u have drivers for your hardware, backup all your porn/music/etc AND BEWARE - it's time limited till June 2007. but, i suppose a crack will appear for it by then
