vist - external hard drive- big file

    vist - external hard drive- big file

    trying to move an 8 gig file from my computer to my external harddrive but its saying "te file is too large for the destination file system

    is that because the external harddrive is a FAT32 file structure not NTFS

    yes.

    maximum size of a file under FAT32 = 4gb.

    Under NTFS it's meant to be as large as you want, but don't hold me to that.
