Surely this will simply be one of those Google ads (like on this site) which picks up content on the page and shows advertisements relating to that content. I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere on the Virgin pages there are references to Northern Rock, or Virgin Money interest rates, and so Google is picking that up and showing an advertisement for Northern Rock. Simple really
